Skill Upgrading Training (SUT)

Skill Upgrading Training (SUT) is upgrading the related skills or increasing the capacity of the manpower who have been working in the industry for years through training. Through skill upgradation, training will be provided to the manpower working in the industry on the basis of the daily products produced in the necessary skills and new technologies it uses.

Based on the skills required in the daily production process of the industry, identify the capabilities of the working manpower this training will provide them with additional skills.

Skill Development Unit, Industry Association Morang (CIM) identifies the necessary skills of the working manpower and provides skill training to its member industries, and this type of training is conducted through training provider organizations with the support of ENSSURE/Helvetas Nepal.

The workforce working in the industry is the primary beneficiary of this training. It is expected that this type of training will help industrial trainees (apprenticeship) program as well.

The duration of this training depends on the identified skills required. Generally, although the training period is 96 hours, the training period may vary based on the needs of the working manpower. Daily hours can be determined without affecting the daily production process of the industry.

Through this program, the industries will prepare the skilled manpower they need by themselves and increase the daily production of the industry as well as help to reduce the dependence of the external manpower outsourcing and on the other hand, the skills of the working manpower will also be upgraded and they will become skilled manpower.

While preparing the curriculum for skill upgrading training, it is prepared with the involvement of professional associations/organizations, related industries and experts. In this way, while preparing the curriculum, the demands of the industries are given priority.
